A commission of medical students of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of Abel Salazar (ICBAS) of the University of Porto, with the support of the Executive Commission of ICBAS, logistic support of the Students Association of ICBAS, and in collaboration with the international organization IPPNW (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War) medical students and the Association of Portuguese Doctors for the Prevention of Nuclear War, will be organizing the next European Medical Students Conference of IPPNW, between 27 and 30 April 2007, in the city of Porto, Portugal.

The European Conferences of IPPNW have an annual frequency and a scheme of rotation of its organization by each of the various European countries with national student associations. Medical students from 20 European countries: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Austria, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, United Kingdom, Denmark, Holland, France ; and Israel and Palestine, participate in the said conference. 

This is the eighth edition of the European Medical Students Conference of IPPNW, to be held in the city of Porto - Portugal - and it represents a unique opportunity to understand the different perspectives of future Physicians, and, at the same time, a golden chance to point out the most important topics that occupy the international community.
